All patients who underwent revision laparoscopic surgery from January 202 to July 2008 in the UCT Private Academic /Groote Scruur Hospital complex for intractable dysphagia and who did not respond to consevative treatment were reviewed. Patients with peri-oesophagel fibrosis as the dominant cause for their dysphagia were identified during surgrry and closely followed up.
